Exclusive tours are for groups that want something private, off-schedule, particularly flexible, especially easy, or unusually extensive. These can be variations of our regularly scheduled tours, or customized excursions (samples below). We'll work with you to plan a hike in your preferred setting at your desired level of activity. We'll plan a tour just for you that you'll remember always!

Our exclusive tours are ideal for families with very young children, as well as groups with members that are less active, but would still like a unique experience on the island. 

Here are some examples of customized itineraries:

Kona Coast and Cloud Forest - Our Kona Cloud Forest Botanical Walk, supplemented with a visit to Kaloko Honokohau National Historic Park where guests can experience the hidden remnants of an ancient Hawaiian settlement and a breathtaking beach where green sea turtles can often be seen resting near the tide pools.  A short tour at the Ocean Rider seahorse farm tops of this wonderful day.

Windward Coast & Waterfalls - This tour is for groups that want to take in beautiful sights, but are not looking for extensive walking.  It is a driving tour that travels along the Hamakua Coast, which is rich in scenic beauty as well as history.  Several stops are made along the way where short walks are available.  Venturing off the highway through lush tropical greenery, guests learn about the days of old Hawaii.  Waterfalls, botanical gardens, ocean-side picnic lunch, and a visit to the Laupahoehoe Train Museum are all included in the day.

Highlights of Hilo - A scenic drive across Saddle Road takes guests to the island's largest city rich in history as well as natural beauty.  This tour includes scenic stops to places such as Rainbow Falls and Liliuokalani Gardens, combined with educational experiences at the Imiloa Astronomy Center , Pacific Tsunami Museum , and Mokupapapa.  The tour concludes with a scenic drive along the Hamakua Coast with it's amazing ocean views, towering cliffs, and hidden waterfalls.

For those looking for much a more challenging experience:

Crater Rim Trail - This 14-mile trail at the summit of Kilauea Volcano takes hikers through lush native Hawaiian rainforest, along the rim of an immense volcanic crater, and across a vast lava desert, looping back around into the lush rainforest.  The extreme changes in scenery are explained as hikers learn the history of the events that have shaped this landscape.  

All tours include customized timing & itinerary, custom meals, refreshments, transportation, some gear, and private guide services.
